Give your group a name, set a budget and add everyone who takes part. First names are enough.
Keep couples apart
Tap who a person should not draw, for example their partner. Wichtelhut checks that the draw still works.
Share one link
After the draw you get a link. Send it to your group chat. Everyone taps their own name and only sees who they are buying for.

We only store the names, the budget and the draw. We delete the group after 90 days.
Questions and answers
Is Wichtelhut really free?
Yes. Wichtelhut is a private project without ads and without paid extras.
Does everyone need an email address or an app?
No. You only enter names. You share the group with one link, for example in WhatsApp, Signal or Teams. The link opens in any browser, on a phone or a computer.
How does each person find out who they are buying for?
Everyone opens the same link, taps their own name and confirms that it's really them. Then Wichtelhut shows who they are buying for. If someone forgets, they just open the link again.
Can the organizer see who drew whom?
No. Wichtelhut never shows the full list, not even to the person who set up the group. Everyone only sees their own match.
Can someone cheat?
Anyone with the link could also tap someone else's name. Wichtelhut trusts the group here, just like nobody peeks at other people's slips when you draw names from a hat. For friends, family and teams this works well.
How many people do we need?
At least three. It gets more exciting from four or five people, because then nobody can work out who has whom.
Can I change the group after the draw?
No, a group stays as it was drawn. If someone joins or drops out, draw again and send the new link.
What happens to our data?
We only store what the draw needs: the group name, the budget, the names and who gives to whom. We delete the group after 90 days. More under Contact & privacy.
